Hi Antonio!
Yes, it is almost impossible to "choose" the right tool, I started back in 1983 with Pascal, and after some time I found that Concurrent Dos from Digital Research was way off, compared to MS.
It is a pitty that OS like CDOS is dead. This was in 1983 an CDOS was a real multitasking OS.
WIN95 is still not slicing processor time like CDOS did. And last time I Iooked at the calendar it said 1997!
I spoke with some professors at a University in Norway and their point was that MS was the main reason for the lack off
a OS witch realy took advantage off the hardware at that time.
And think about the limitations which was on DOS, both in memory and disc space!!
For my part I used C compilers from unknown vendors, I used CPM and CDOS and, this is funny to think off, but one system
I delivered in 1986, a system to monitor oxygen, temperatur and other parameters in a salmon farm is still running CDOS and
it works!!
So to keep up the good work, buy MS Software to make the time stand still.
Best regards
