Installation et configuration
Patric,
Microsoft has decided that the start in property (of the shortcut) is left empty 'by design'. VFP's own installer sets it per default (and that's Microsoft as well) but for some reason it won't work with VSI.
The only way to avoid this issue is to open-up the VSI file with ORCA and to set this manually.
You can find the details of this on the Microsoft site.
It would be nice if you could set this behavior (by design) but even in the latest version (v1.1) it is not available.
Installing it into a fixed path is not an issue. You should remove the 'Select installation folder' from the VSI interface.

However, I am building an installation for a specific group of users, all of which will need the app installed into a specific location off the root. I don't want to allow them to change the installation location, but I also don't want my application folder to be inside one of the four choices given in the Installer options. WOOHOO another fine day! lol
