It looks like it is good idea to write a book of tips, tricks and solutions of what is best for VFP6. I never seen such book, except little articles dispersed over the WEB. As a result we now have a lot of questions like this posted each day here.

There used to be a lot more of that sort of writing in FoxPro books, but I think in the last five years, as FP has become a more robust middle-layer and UI tool, it's gotten difficult for authors to really do every possible topic in the language justice. I think these sorts of tips and tricks are out there, just mixed in with a lot of other (very important) stuff, much of which gets more attention because it is newer and maybe a little more exciting (client-server connections, inheritance, design patterns, COM)....

That being said, an FAQ here in the UT might be in order: "What are the different ways to find and narrow down data, and how can I make them as quick as possible...?"
