I don't know what type of clients you have, but this is a topic that was raised by 80%+ of the clients I worked for in the past 3 years. While it is true that most(?) small clients with one location (or with access to the app froim one application) don't care about cross-platform, this is not the case for larger clients. I do a significant portion of my work in C++ and UNIFACE because the same code can be compiled for Windows, DOS, and several flavors of UNIX. UNIFACE is very expensive and not fun to work with, but it does work correctly on several platforms.
