>It appears to me that the main 3rd-party tools for putting VFP apps (or apps accessing VFP data) on the web are West-Wind Connection and AFP, and there are lesser-known products such as FoxWeb and X-works, both of which have many fans.

I like the simplicity of AFP (from a web-page WYSIWIG approach) and FoxWeb (from an installation point-of-view), but I'm also aware (judging from postings here and in other fora) that WWC is probably the most popular approach, so it must have a lot going for it. What puts me off (slightly) WWC and FoxWeb is that any time a web-page change is required, HTML code has to be regenerated and stored in memo fields, which seems a pain from a testing point-of-view. On the other hand, from a support angle, WWC seems to come out on top.

Untrue, with WWC you can develop using Front Page, Visual Interdev, Visual Webbuilder, or any other html generating program. You can imbed fox code right in the page and WC will render the page. You have the option of generating the page on the fly, using templates, scripting or mixing and matching strategies. It doesn't get any better.
