Are you sure ? When talking about containers never undertake them. I could easily demonstrate you not only highlighting but as well animating 'buttons' in 'pure' VFP if you were here by me (believe it or not). Just for covering issue check 'backstyle' property (also Style for commandbuttons). If you read my first reply to this thread you can build one easily (you could also download foxspeaker from files section and think how Nick did it).
Say using pink spots on blue background is not on my list, but that sure doesn't mean nobody would want it to do. Yes, that's true for regular commandbuttons.
Nadya, you can use graphics with commandbutton's but are far limited with their position if nothing else (just a graphic+caption).
