Hmmm...that's "error reading file." Anyway, that's not entirely true, what MS told you. I almost always run EXEs off a server, in both vfp3 & 5, after doing workstation installs for dlls and other files. If I had to have all my users run a new setup every time I made a slight EXE change, they'd string me up. (Eventually when an EXE is REALLY final, then PC install can be done). But I suspect your error is something else...
