Walter;
You are correct - you cannot argue with emotions, so here are some facts:
Capital Punishment as a means to prevent murder.
In the United States a person who is a murderer has a good chance to go free. Here are the details from the National Police Records:
1. The identity of 51% of murderers is never established.
2. 28% go to trial – the rest go free for many reasons.
3. 13% are found guilty.
How does that make you feel Mr. and Ms. America? It is great to know that Capital Punishment is a deterrent to murder.
There is one truth that perhaps others can understand and perhaps that is asking too much: Never be a victim.
