The table remaining locked is a lookup table. It never has data written to it. Several views in the dbc are based on this table. It remains locked even after the user has saved and no add/edit processes are in progress. I do no explicit locks with code. I am using pessimistic buffering on my tables. This lock occurs only occasionally, not every time records are added to a table. What is causing the lock? Is it requerys on the views based on this table. What is causing the lock to persist?
Probably there are combo/listboxes using the tables as a rowsource. If so instead you might set your rowsourcetype to SQL and rosource to a select from them.
