My PDC NT 4.0 Server died and I had to promote a backup. Now that the back up has been promoted and the nic for the DSL line installed, my IP address issued from my ISP keeps expiring.

The support people are clueless. I only get a 6 hour lease of the ip address and I must reboot the server inorder to get a new lease.

I try the ipconfig /renew MTC301 but it comes back saying that the DHCP server could not be found.

Ideas?
