I've heard of that happening before. I wonder what the odds are of getting them to put in two hard drives, a better video card, and not loading all their junk software. :) Sigh. Not too likely.

However, one of my friends called after seeing the refurbished system he wanted on their web site. When he called, the salesperson said it was not in stock. He waited a few hours, looked at their site, and it was still there. Called back again, and got the same resposne: we do not have that one in stock, but we do have one that is similar but costs a little more. The old bait-and-switch :). He asked to speak to the manager, and ended up getting just what he wanted, with something thrown in for free.
