>"a political philosophy based on belief in progress, the essential goodness of the human race, and the autonomy of the individual and standing for the protection of political and civil liberties"
That sounds pretty close to what I believe.<
Sure sounds like what I believe also. But, if you think about, it sounds exactly like something from a Ronald Regan speech, optimistic and pro-individual, and I don’t think this is the philosophy of most Democrats. But I don’t want to argue about, it is just my opinion. I could be wrong. <g>
>Let's be clear that Gore is _not_ a liberal. He's a centrist. <
Well I think he isn’t either one, he is strictly a politician. (Again I won’t argue and say that Bush is any better.) Who knows what Gore believes? He is like Clinton. He just checks the polls and is for whatever happens to be popular. He has spent his entire life in D.C. and has no sense of reality.
I think Lieberman would be a much better president that Gore. Heck, I think Tipper would be better than Gore. At least they are real. They believe in something.
BTW, I have both Hackers Guides and think they are great and I’ve ordered and look forward to the automation book but it hasn’t come in.
