Probably closer to about 400Mb, from what I've seen. Yes, we're complaining about that. Given the system updates, I don't know that this will change, though.

How are you checking this? My current installation comes in at around 3Gb right now, checking by right-click VS7 folder and Properties.

Interesting; on a clean (formatted and reinstalled) Windows 2000 box, I get no such messages. The builds I'm using may expand it automagically, though. I'm currently seeing registry size of 15Mb, with a max of 70Mb.
