Perhaps if we pooled our resources, e.g. create official organization (opportunity for PUTM?) like a lobby to more affectively work with Microsoft. After all, the statistics for UT show well over 27,000 members and over 28,000 visitors to this site alone,
<

That is the number of people that have signed up over the past 6 years or so. At most, you may have a few thousand (2) that post at least once. In terms of activity, I would bet the number is only a few hundred.

that’s a pretty loud voice. We could nominate a committe to represent us with Richard Green (who has always been on our side and can probably use the help),
<<

His name is Robert. And before you talk about sides, you should first define what side means. Robert and the rest of MS wants you to become a Visual Studio developer. MS has long said that they are not going to continue to invest in application model that VFP is best suited for. VS.Net is where MS is going and wants you to be. For me, the jury is still out with VS. I believe Dvorak calls it Visual Studio Dot Nyet...

<<
et al. In addition, if each of us put say $5 into ‘co-op advertising fund’ we could place advertising in magazines which would give VFP a more visible presence to the IT decision makers in the corporate world.
<<

We have been down this road before. Now, it is bordering on the the rediculous to pathetic. Sorry, but I have to be honest here. A product like VFP requires 100's of thousands of dollars to market properly. Perhaps millions. What do you think a $5 a person is going to do. First off, if MS wanted to market the product, they would. The fact is THEY own the product. This sounds like the old VFPDA - which was summarily shot down over a year ago.

I agree that people should be pro-active. But this is not the way to go about it. Please, enough already with the dillusional talk. If you want to do something, do something that makes sense.
