By subnet do you mean the first few numbers on the IP address or the other IP address that start with 255.*?

I guess I should read more into this network mumbo-jumbo to understand it more.

The IP addresses start with 168.192 (or is it the other way around?), I am not sure about the other address on the Linux PC. I'll check that.

Samba is running, shares are defined and I can map to them from my NT PC and send files back and forth. I will post the smb.conf this afternoon.
