a lot of old @ say code works quite well if you simply open a window, set the font to something NOT proportional, and write a print buffer system!
why re-invent the wheel? text data entry is faster than mouse forms anyway you look at it!
and much simpler to code when you want to test each field before doing the next!
I've used @ say on forms, too! far more efficient when you have ot pack in the text!

Of course you are free to code any way you want but if you decide to stay with old code, why go to the trouble and expense to upgrade to VFP? Why not stay with FPW2.x or FPD2.x?
They work, don't they? All they need is a free patch to use with faster processors and off you go! Aren't those Foundation Reads wonderful?
