David,
I think it depends on your network drive also. In my case I have a Seaview Cheetah SCSI on Server[18 GB ST318404LW] and Workstation [36 GB ST336704LW], both W2K and both have this problem.[ Server and Pro ] I read somewhere that there is a Hot Fix for S.M.A.R.T drives so it is being addressed but in the meantime the zipping and unzipping works.
