Hopefully the W2K servers aren't BSODing as much as the workstation is. If a workstation crash is corrupting a network drive file then there is an even more serious problem. I wonder if disconnecting from the network drive would force a commit. I don't have a W2K network to do any testing, so I'm just throwing out random ideas here.

In my case I have a Seaview Cheetah SCSI on Server[18 GB ST318404LW] and Workstation [36 GB ST336704LW], both W2K and both have this problem.[ Server and Pro ] I read somewhere that there is a Hot Fix for S.M.A.R.T drives so it is being addressed but in the meantime the zipping and unzipping works.
