Probably that or your distance from the phone company central office. Is there any rewiring going on in your area? Here in Atlanta, crews are digging all over town -- everywhere you go -- putting down what looks like multiple 2" fiber cables, usually 8 or 10 of them in a bundle. Someone is spending mega-bucks on it.
