Here in Atlanta, crews are digging all over town -- everywhere you go -- putting down what looks like multiple 2" fiber cables, usually 8 or 10 of them in a bundle. Someone is spending mega-bucks on it.
I have two problems for DSL:
I'm too far from the central office and I live in an old area of town with old wires. USWorst has been named in several polls as the worst local phone company in the country. It was recently purchased by Qwest, who has pledged a new level of customer support. I'm taking a wait and see approach on that one.
