I have two problems for DSL:
I'm too far from the central office and I live in an old area of town with old wires. USWorst has been named in several polls as the worst local phone company in the country. It was recently purchased by Qwest, who has pledged a new level of customer support. I'm taking a wait and see approach on that one.

I've been using DSL for a few months now. It's fast, when it works . It seems to have iimproved with almost no down time the last couple of months. But Bell South does not *yet* have driver for Win2K (or WinMe for that matter). So I'm stuck with booting on the old drive with Win98. When I do development studies (I don't 'work' at home), I'm in Win2K so I'm relegated to dialup. It sucks! I've complained, loudly, but you know the phone company's motto don't you?
"We are the Phone Company. We don't care. We don't have to."
