If you dont need to run a parallel system of some sort, most likely this will be cleaner.

remote queries? or Oracle Views? Which is an entirely different beast than what we call a "view" in VFP. I dont know much about Oracle, but when I've worked with Oracle data in VFP it's always been done via Oracle Views and it was always pretty snappy speed wise (unless of course the network was in a flaky mood).

There are a few sharp Oracle cookies that hang out up here... if you can put some more specific questions together and post them with "Oracle" in the subject you should find some decent insight & advice.
