Don,

We do this (as you've noted) by switching to a read-only version of the FOXUSER file with the menus turned on and positioned where we want them. This also allows the user to "bring them back" if they've un-docked and closed them. Never did find any other way to bring them up once they're closed.

AFAIK, since Microsoft lets us issue the command MODIFY REPORT in the run-time, it's OK to use it. I'm sure we would have heard from them if it was otherwise. ;)
