part 1 sounds like a bad idea to me - i guess it does to you, too, since you're asking :)

1. My registry entry for this has (copy/paste from regedit Edit String dialog)"%1" %*

2. I don't have a files32.vxd file either - i think vxd's are virus definition files. I don't know if they're specific to a anti-virus program. i've got McAfee on this machine.
