Thanks for the replies,

Yes, I develop for a mixed environment, or at least test to see if things will work <g>.

Since I want to learn to develop VFP apps beyond the native VFP tables, I figure MSDN Universal would be the best way to get more bang for the buck.
My biggest concern right now is if I pay for it now, and VS 7 is released in the spring, will I also have to shell out $$ for that as well? I planned on upgrading to the full VS suite with the version 7 release, and if I can get it with the MSDN, I'd rather do it that way.

TechNet is more to keep up with all the IT support that I do as well.

Wayne's recommendation to become a MS Solutions Provider would be great. Unfortunately I'm the only one in my company right now, so it's not possible. Plus I have to get off my butt a study and take the Windows 2000 test before I can get MCP status myself.

I'm also considering picking up Oracle 8i or 9i Personal Edition, to learn to interface VFP into that.

>It depends on your environment. If you only work in VFP and only support Win9X then no, it isn't worth the money (IMO). Because you are getting a lot that you will never need/use.

Universal gives you all the Visual Studio stuff as well as the OSs and the add-ons (SQL Server, Exchange, etc.).
