Plenty of people will buy tools for Delphi5 (with or without source) because it's earier to just buy - rather than re-invent the wheel. What I've noticed about the C++ guy is that - they (almost) refuse to give up their home developed tools. The tools are nice sometimes but all the work to create them is not worth the cost of buying $500 of software.
