However - this still means tha it's slow (sometimes at least when the app exits). Since this app is really just one top-level form which the User enters various details before going into Word - this slowness is noticed.
I know I can use the RUN command with the /N paramter to set Outlook going in the background and then leave it up to the User to close it (although I personally think the VFP app should tidy up after itself - speed is the most important thing for this client.) However - where do I find the location opf Outlook - I assume somewhere in the Registry ?
I think I've tracked it down to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENT VERSION/APP PATHS/OUTLOOK.EXE
on my Win NT and Win 95 machines - but I'm not sure if this is the best (and most global) way of locating it.
