Hi Della,

I know that this doesn't answer your question... But...

I checked out the ActiveX Control you spoke of in Visual Basic 6.0 (SP4)
and it does load correctly.

This control does NOT open up the Acrobat page in the form though..
It creates a Adobe Actobat Window and displays the information there... (Complete with Taskbar Icon)...

I also tried the SYS(2333,1) command to try and get it working that
way (Alot of ActiveX Controls will work if you turn off the Dual-Mode
Support) but I also could not get Foxpro to Recognize it...

We use the _ShellExecute method of opening PDF's and displaying them
using the free brower... If you'd like info on that I'd be more than
happy to help you out all I can...

I'm sorry I couldnt be more help...

Good Luck!
Bob

>I'm trying to figure out how to use the Adobe Acrobat Control for ActiveX in a VFP form. I'm trying to use the free Reader control (not the full Acrobat product). The documentation on the Adobe's site says that it can be done, and then goes on to say that they do not provide documentation for the control. Yippee.

>While I don't mind calling the Acrobat Reader and having it pop up in a separate window (I actually prefer this, so the users can read the report and compare it back to the information shown in the application window), the powers-that-be want it in the form . With all the wizards we have here, somebody's probably solved this. *ANY* ideas?
