Paige, another tidbit. We have found that running Norton AnitVirus 2001 with auto-protect on (the default) has caused us a few problems, including the radical slowdown of one of our forms. The form essentially runs a query into a cursor, scans the cursor and writes fixed length ASCII records into a transaction file that is sent to our client to post payments. This behavior happened only on the NT 4 Wrkstation clients.
You may need to try and make sure the workstation environment(s) are identical in terms of the mix of background processses runnning to make a good comparison. We have a mix of W98 and NT 4 workstation clients ourselves, and sometimes things have just worked differently between the 2 OS's.
