Mike, thanks for your reply.
Yes I am using Windows 98.I've tried using : localhost as the server name but got the same message...Could not locate server.

I then ran winipcfg and it gave me two settings for
(1) PPP (11) My 3 Com Adapter

For both of these, the Host name (in More Info) is GOC, but they have different Ip ADDRESSES . ip ADDRESS FOR PPP is 194.125.173.156 and for the 3 com card it is 2.2.2.2. (This is what VID seems to be searching for when I click on Your home page is available at http://goc

Any ideas of where I would go form here.

Regards,

Gerard

>For the host name use localhost ( spelled just like that NOT! i mean NOT! GOC) thats it. You can also try your local ip address i.e. 127.0.0.1 unless you have a constant IP adress or are on a network then use the machine's local IP address to see what that is click start-run- and type winipcfg and click OK this will give you your local IP address.

>The name is misleading it will run on Windows 9.x as well, you just can't install some of the features included. If you do make sure you grab the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) as well at the following address...
