Thanks for the info - I;m beginning to think you're right.
My problem is that I instinctively don't feel that VB is a real
'programmer's' language - not like C or VFP (at least). My husband think's
I'm still hankering after Z80 and 6502 assembler (but that's another story
...)

Mind you - aren't similar things said about VFP (and what will happen to MS
when they finally get split up ?

Many thanks for these ideas/thoughts - much appreciated.
I'll take a look at some of the sites on C# - and also try and get a beta
verstion of VB.Net. (I should be getting VFP.Net through the UK User Group -
but I'm not sure about VB).
