>But what does becoming a MVP have to do with business secrets?

Why are you so caught up on a private forum?

I could shout out everything MS has sent me as thanks for keeping up on the skills that made me on MVP, or I could keep my mouth shut and no one whines (well, you've found away ;-). But when I want to ask a question to the rest of the MVPs on that sensitive subject, what do I do? Send emails out? Private UT messages? Or could I just post the question on a private newsgroup for MVPs?

Its also a place that the MVPs (which typcially mean the highly active and accurate users of many different forums spread over the web) can gather to help link VFP cliches, like the UTers or the CompuServe gang. So, if I see a question go unanswered about AFP on the UT (where there aren't alot of AFP users), I could post it on teh MVP where the authors of AFP are members, and then relay the answer back. Its a win win.

To me, the MVP program is an "elite" (at meeting the rquirements, not meant to mean "better than") group that rewards members with the pride of being a valuable professional much the same way High Schools, Boy Scouts, Military, and Government do. Deal with it.

And thats more than what I want to say publically about the program.
