I'd agree that ER provides superb technical assistance- I particularly liked some of the Script Host stuff. I never said any different.

To retain context: I was responding to a previous post saying that number of posts per MVP is available in the reports section. Ed just happened to be top, and I'd just read a post in the same thread where he was baiting WM. Clearly "raw number of posts" is not a useful stat to determine technical contribution.

Garrett's email where he told me to "go to hell" and revealed that he does not rely on number of posts to select MVP's, had not been posted at that stage.

I had also previously suggested that maybe the recipients of the "on-line assistance" should be invited to say who was best for the year. I suggested I would "vote" for GT. You say ER and I'd second that.

FYI I tried fairly hard not to disparage any MVPs in what I said. I will defend "to the end" my contention that transparency of process is essential for any Elite group if it wants to retain status and avoid any hint of impropriety. If people cannot accept that, then JVP's assertion that software development is not a "profession" is completely correct, no matter what awards or qualifications we achieve.

crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to

piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
