I use 4 databases (DBCs). 2 may vary depending on the specific company that is open for use. Some views use tables from more than one database and sdt works for me for everything I have tried. I don't make any special effort to open the databases. I always have the path set to the location of the 4 databases for the specific company. The tables for each DBC are in the same directory as the DBC. As far as I know, anytime you USE a table, the DBC is automatically opened if it isn't already. I think the key is to have the path set so your program can find the tables referenced in the view.
