Hi,

I have a remote view 'rvLaypaty' linked to a Paradox table 'laypay'. Unfortunately the Paradox table has a field name called 'date' which is a reserved SQL name, so I am unable to use the View designer for this particular job.

I have tried using SQLEXEC in the following code...

x = SQLEXEC(gnHandle,'INSERT INTO laypay ("date") VALUES (DATE()),fvLaypay)

...all works OK, however the following I can't get to work...

ldDate = DATE()
x = SQLEXEC(gnHandle,'INSERT INTO laypay ("date") VALUES (ldDate),fvLaypay)

...I have tried macro substitution and everything I can imagine to get it to work with anything but DATE(), to no avail.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Regards
Doug Johnston
