Hi!

What is wrong with date(nYear, nMonth, nDay) function? You can extract day, month and year values from string using usual VFP string functions, of date format in string is always the same and exact. This way you will never depend on the VFP settings for dates. If you can pass 3 parameters to the query - its even better.

The CTOD function is currently interpreting character dates as yy/mm/dd, however the character field in the table is in dd/mm/yy format. I need to know if it is possible, over VFP ODBC, to make CTOD interpret character dates as dd/mm/yy?

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
