I liked that story - Yankee indeed! One of my interests is Amateur Radio (Ham Radio). When I was stationed in Orlando, Florida, there was a Ham from Central Florida who said his daddy was a missionary and tried to save the souls of all those foreigners who lived North of Florida. If you lived North of Central Florida, he called you a Yankee.

I guess you can say all things are relative. The minds of such people scare me as they really feel these are truths. I remember seeing Jefferson Davis's house in Gulfport, Mississippi, with a full size Garrison Flag flying - Confederate of course!

You will never educate the ignorant and trying to deal with someone who thinks with his/her emotions will get you no where. I think I have met that person you described who called you a Yankee, as well as many of his relatives. They are from the same mother and father, who were either sister and brother or first cousins.
