So if your group header takes up 1/4 inch and the detail band is also 1/4 inch, entering .5 will start the group on the next page/column if there isn't enough room to print at least one detail line.

Hi Cathy,

I struggled a lit bit with this option (see another thread). Finally putting 30 seems to solve the problem (at least, for the test file). Hopefully, it would not give me surprises for other files.
