Hi!

Hmm, this is just agreement or they really limit the number of subscribers?

If they limit number of subscribers, than you can organize subscriptions dynamically. Make subscription first in the Enterprise manager. Than right clik on the subscription and choose 'Generate Script...'. It will give you SQL Server script of what SP required to call to organize that subscription. Than make the same for subscription deletion. In application make subscription, replicate, than delete subscription...

I understand that by such way logically you still have 3000+ subscribers. But physically you will have much less subscribers connected to main server simultaneously. Does MS says about that something?

If there is really such limitation, I guess it is not a problem to write replication routine, it is quite simple for me. And it seems will save a lot of $ if this is true.

I'm interested in this topic too, because we're going to use MSDE for off-line work.

>Unfortunately the SQL Server end user licensing agreement (EULA) says you have to have a license for each MSDE you replicate with. That would mean 3,000+ licenses for us. If the cost for 25 licenses is $11,000, that would make 3,000 cost more than a million dollars. We can write a really excellent replication app for a million bucks!

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
