This app will require to send mail later on in its life but lucky for me the instance of the app that will be doing it will not be running under Citrix:)

Hopefully I will be able to use MSMAPI to send mail later.

It will not be too critical if an SMPT message I send does not get through since my admin routines can pick up on this at a later stage.

I will copy your idea of a mail log:)

>Mike is correct that wwIPStuff allows you to send e-mail without having a mail client installed. You only need to have access to an SMTP server. One disadvantage, however, is that there is no record of what you sent out. I solved this problem by creating a mail log within my app that stores any outgoing mail, along with the status--i.e. whether it was successful, and the error message if it wasn't.
