>>My client called about some data show showing on the forms. I look in her free table and about every 100 records there is a corrupted record (data looks like all vertical lines.). The free table is ordered by an index so foxpro knows the true value of the data but it does not work correctly in the programs. What can I do? How do you fix a corrupted table. We take backups, but I have no idea how long the data has been bad.

So you can prove that the vertical lines show up all the time in say record 100 and they dont seem to move around. Showing good data one time then virtical lines the next time you browse it.

My client has just done a pack and reindex (a utility that they can run) and the corrupted records appear to be gone, at least the ones I wrote down. I would rather of fixed the data, as the data is now gone.

I believe they would have shown at the same position each time. The free table was ordered by and I was doing seeks with key values to write down some of the corrupted record keys. I had to go back to them several times to revalidate the information. I know this problem is not "fixed". So what else can you tell me?

Thanks
