>>I was wondering if other development platforms (VB, Delphi, Java, etc.) had the same type of application frameworks/wizards that we enjoy in the FoxPro world. It's pretty obvious that some of our FoxPro frameworks would fit nicely with .NET. Just curious how much competition would be coming from other tools.

I do not consider a framework to be on the same level as a wizard. Application frameworks will speed up development of professional applications and allow additions or modifications. To modify or add to wizard code could be a lifes work. Try using the VB wizard for "real fun".

Tom,

I agree. I don't mean to put frameworks on the same level as wizards, but some of the framework vendors do refer to their products as "Application Wizards" in addition to "framework". Plus some include builder and wizards to help improve productivity. I am curious if other languages have complete business application frameworks similar to the commercial frameworks available for FoxPro. I found something similar for VB at www.pdsa.com. It is rather expensive.
