CREATE CURSOR temp (memofield M)
APPEND BLANK
SELECT yourtable.field,temp.memofield AS "whatever" FROM yourtable, temp INTO CURSOR yourcursor

You'll now have a cursor containing 2 fields, one from yourtable named "field" and one from temp named "whatever".
