what was the problem with the printshop equipment? Did you manage to track the problem down? Was it an Adobe version problem perchance? Or a fontset inclusion problem?

I've tried the Amyuni driver both with graphics and a Hungarian/Czech font which has been giving us nightmares elsewhere in the app (code pages and all that). Seems to work fine.
