>Surely that the second NIC in your server computer have an IP address of 192.168.0.1. You need to set its DNS (prefered and alternate) to the DNS address of your ISP provider. To know these values, do IPCONFIG /ALL at the command prompt.

With Win2K, you can inherit the DNS from the Internet connection; I also prefer to use one of several public DNS nodes (131.107.1.7 is one well-known DNS server.) Under Win2K, you can also set up the ICS box to act as a DHCP server, which simplifies the setup of all the other nodes.

If DHCP is enabled, all you do is tell it to use DHCP; gateway, IP address, DNS and WINS services are all set automatically. There are advantages to using static IP addresses, especially if you have other servers on the LAN that should remain at a fixed, known address, or if your ISP provides you with several static IP addresses as a part of their service; static IP makes issues like VPN, hosting your own web or email server, and remote control using products like PCAnywhere considerably easier, so that systems remain addressible by a unique and constant address on the Internet.
