Hi Chuck,

For PKZIP for Windows, you are "strongly encouraged" to purchase a license if you use the software on a regular basis, but it's not required with the shareware version. What's interesting is that the help file further states that to distributed data or software using PKZIP a license is required.

So, off-hand, if you want to install PKZIP to be able to ZIP stuff and then send it around, I'd say you'd need to purchase a license.
