My wife would rather work for a man any day of the week as she says women are usually 'catty'. Perhaps she's just a lousy manager or is incompetent and you threaten her in some fashion.

Having now made every lady here mad at me she also has had male bosses that are real dopes. <g>

If you get to the point where you think you need to find a new position and are so able I'd wait until this person was in a public place and announce that you agreed with her position and that you felt so strongly about it after thinking it through and that you had called the Software Police and asked them if they wouldn't mind coming in and doing an unannounced inspection...
