It is possible for multi users to check out classes,etc to work on them and scctext.prg was an essential part of this. However, its been awhile since I was in a multi developer enviroment so I don't recall what hoops you have to jump through to accomplish this. I do remember it wasn't a painless process however, but mostly it worked.

But there is also a program (scctext.prg) that supposedly converts libs/screens/etc to text files and back. This would suggest that a merge procedure could be performed on this type of files as well. But if only ont user can check out a file at a time, what's the need for scctext.prg?
