A LAN Admin usually enjoys seeing his network grow when he is doing a good job, and tends to want to go elsewhere when it becomes a mess.

We have 3500 users spread over 50+ offices and managing our network is not easy. You perceive your LAN Admin to be doing a good job (and he may well be doing a good job) but it does not mean he is qualified to manage a complex network. Easy is a relative term. To give you a blunt example, several questions you posted on this forum are trivial matters to me. Does it mean I should dismiss all your questions because they are beneath my abilities? I don't think so. I believe everyone participating in UT is showing an interestt to grow and should be given a chance to learn. It does not mean I will not chastise some people for what I perceive to be bad answers, just that I will pick on them for that particular answer and not carry a grudge.

IMO, unless you accept who you are and find some hapiness in your job, you will always be a prime candidate to be fired...
