I am using an expression as a controlsource for a read only grid. When I specify the controlsource expression at the column level, there is no problem. When I check the value at the text1 level, it shows the expression. However, if I attempt to change it, it complains that the controlsource can not evaluate to an expression. I have no problem changing it at the column level. Is this behaviour by design? What am I missing ? Should I not attempt to use an expression in a controlsource ?
